Kristine hermosa may have the right or honor to do a remake of “MARUJA” but I still think that SUSAN ROCES is MARUJA and MARUJA is SUSAN ROCES. Nobody can replace Ms. Susan Roces. When Susan made this film, she was at the peak or apex of her career as the Queen of Philippine Movies. Sadly, however, Carmina Villaruel never became a movie queen, neither does Kristine Hermosa. But anyway, Kristine is lucky because the role was assigned to her. Vilma Santos and Sharon Cuneta dreamed of portraying Maruja but they didn’t get the honor. “Pagbutihin mo kristine, I will be watching you.”
